We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and what rights you have. It complies with GDPR (EU) 2016/679 and the Slovak Act No. 18/2018 on personal data protection.

We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO) as the law does not require it (GDPR Art. 37). Privacy inquiries are handled via the email above.
2. Data we process
2.1 Contact form data
When you message us via the form on kgnstudio.sk, we process:

Retention: we respond within 24 hours. The email with your message stays in our mailbox for up to 3 years since the last communication, or until consent is withdrawn, whichever comes first.

2.3 Communication outside the form
If you contact us directly via email, phone, or social media (Instagram, YouTube, Facebook), we process the data you voluntarily provide, for the purpose of replying and keeping a communication record.
3. With whom we share your data
We DO NOT sell and DO NOT share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Your data may be disclosed to the following categories of recipients:
- Web hosting provider — Websupport, s. r. o. — server hosting the website and storing technical logs temporarily
- Email service — SMTP server (Websupport) — for delivering the email message
- Social media (Meta Platforms, Google LLC) — if you contact us via their platforms, their own privacy policies apply
- Public authorities — when required by law (police, court, tax office)
4. International data transfers
We process data primarily within the European Economic Area (EEA). Some of our service providers (social media, Google Fonts) may process data in the USA. In such cases, we rely on EU Standard Contractual Clauses or other safeguards under GDPR Art. 46.
5. Your rights
Under GDPR, you have the following rights:
- Right of access (Art. 15) — ask us what data we hold about you
- Right to rectification (Art. 16) — have inaccurate data corrected
- Right to erasure “right to be forgotten” (Art. 17) — request deletion of your data
- Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18)
- Right to data portability (Art. 20) — receive your data in machine-readable format
- Right to object to processing (Art. 21), especially against legitimate interests
- Right to withdraw consent at any time — without affecting prior processing
- Right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority

7. Automated decision-making and profiling
We do not perform automated decision-making or profiling within the meaning of GDPR Art. 22.
8. Data security
We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures:
- HTTPS encryption for all communication
- Spam bot protection (honeypot + rate limiting)
- Security headers (X-Content-Type-Options, X-Frame-Options)
- Regular system updates and backups
- Restricted access for authorized staff only

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version with the effective date is always available on this page.

This website uses cookies and similar technologies in compliance with § 109 of Act No. 452/2021 Coll. on electronic communications and the ePrivacy Directive 2002/58/EC.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files your browser stores on your device when visiting the web. They remember your settings, login state, statistics, and similar.
In addition to cookies, we use localStorage — a safer alternative for storing technical preferences directly in your browser without sending them to the server.

These are essential for basic site functionality and, per § 109(8) of Act 452/2021, do not require your consent.
Statistics (optional, requires consent)
We currently do not use any analytics cookies (Google Analytics, Matomo, Hotjar, etc.).
If we add analytics in the future, they will be activated only with your explicit consent via the cookie banner. Until then they remain off.
Marketing (optional, requires consent)
We currently do not use any marketing/remarketing cookies (Meta Pixel, Google Ads, LinkedIn Insight, etc.).
Third parties
Some resources are loaded from CDNs which may set cookies on their domains:
- Google Fonts (
fonts.googleapis.com) — Bebas Neue typeface. Google in the current version does not set cookies when serving fonts. - jsDelivr CDN (
cdn.jsdelivr.net) — JS libraries (GSAP, Lenis). Does not set cookies for static files.
